Otis is a native to New Orleans, Louisiana and grew up in the now popular Irish Channel neighborhood. He received his diploma from Eleanor McMain Magnet and studied visual arts at New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA). Otis Shipman’s passion for art and design led him to study Architecture at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette. He is also a formally trained Chef and spent most of his twenties working in world class restaurants with some of Louisiana’s most noteworthy chefs. Although he found great success in his former life as a Professional Chef, he always desired a career with more flexibility and autonomy. He found this in his career as a Real Estate Appraiser. Otis’ diverse background and years of hard work, attention to detail and professionalism, provides him a valuable and unique perspective for appraising real estate in Greater New Orleans and beyond.
